Land Navigation II 2 Day Class

Service Description

The Land Navigation Orienteering Course is a two day installment of mastering the basics of map and compass work. Students will work specifically with 1:24,000 and 1:50,000 scale Topo maps as they learn map features, navigation principles, plotting, compass types and use of a compass for finding direction and distance. This class is PowerPoint driven as students will follow along as we work on plotting locations and routes utilizing MRGS coordinates. This program will get the student ready to take what was learned in the classroom and be able to utilize it in the Land Navigation II Course. Students can expect to be challenged as they learn plotting, navigation and movements without electronic or digital equipment.
